# Referral Commission in Detail

How the 20% lifetime commission is calculated, what counts, what doesn't, and the planned Co-Founder Pass boost.

## How commission is calculated

When an invitee earns PP from an eligible action, the commission is computed on the **final awarded amount** — after their streak boost and daily caps are applied:

your commission = invitee's awarded PP × 20%
```

So an invitee on a +300% streak earning 4,000 PP from a sweep pays you 800 PP — their streak boost effectively raises your commission too, even though your own streak never applies to commission.

The exclusion of referral-type actions is deliberate: it prevents multi-level pyramid mechanics. You earn from people **you** directly invited — one level, forever.

## Timing and visibility

* Commission is credited automatically and promptly after the invitee's earning is recorded — no claiming step.
* Your PP history labels commission entries separately, so you can distinguish activity earnings from referral income.
* The referral leaderboard updates on a periodic snapshot (refreshed every few hours), so board positions can lag your live totals slightly.

## Planned: Co-Founder Pass boost (not live)

DustSwap plans a commission boost for **Co-Founder Pass** holders: a **30% commission rate** (instead of the standard 20%) on all referral earnings. Status:

* **Not live yet** — today everyone earns the standard 20%.
* Launch timing, pass details, and final mechanics will be announced; figures here may be adjusted before launch.
* When live, the boost is expected to apply automatically to qualifying holders — no claim step.

> No pass, NFT, or boost is currently for sale through these docs. If the Co-Founder Pass becomes available, it will be announced through official channels (the app and the official Discord). Treat any "pre-sale" offered in DMs as a scam.

## FAQ

**Is commission paid in anything other than PP?**
No — commission is PP only. There is no fee-revenue or token share in the referral system.

**Does my own streak boost increase my commission?**
No. Commission is computed from the invitee's awarded amount; only *their* boost matters.

**If my invitee hits a daily cap, what do I earn?**
20% of what they were actually awarded — capped earnings produce capped commission.

**Can I lose commission already earned?**
Earned commission stays, except in abuse cases (fake/self-referrals), where wrongly earned PP can be removed.
